July 2023 FREE Lesson of the Month -- Multiplication with Arrays

The July 2023 Brick Math Lesson of the Month comes from Multiplication Using LEGO® Bricks, one of the best-selling titles in the Brick Math Series. The lesson teaches students about arrays, and shows how to model multiplication with bricks that create arrays. In this lesson, students learn about arrays and the importance of knowing the orientation of an array. Then they learn to build multiplication sentences based on the array's configuration. These exercises really help students understand the concepts behind one-digit multiplication.
