Here's how Brick Math works:
No special training is needed for parents to begin teaching with Brick Math. The Teacher Editions include all the information you'll need to guide your child through the step-by-step lessons.
Use the Teacher Edition for any of the 13 math subjects. Start with the Part 1: Show Them How section of each chapter. Build the brick models, show them to the student, and discuss the math as directed.
Have your student build the same models, then draw those models, and answer the questions in the companion Student Edition.
Once your student has mastered Part 1, move to the Part 2: Show What You Know section of the chapter. Have your student complete each of the problems, first by modeling with bricks and then drawing their models in the companion Student Edition.

The Student Editions include an Assessment for every chapter, a chart to track each student's progress, and additional problems for practice and challenge. Answer Keys to all the chapter Assessments can be found here.
Brick Sets

Brick Math Brick Sets are specially designed for the program. The 250 bricks are packaged in sturdy divided storage boxes and are the right number and size bricks for every math subject in the Brick Math program. Two baseplates for building brick models are included with each Brick Math Brick Set.

Tips for Using Brick Math
- Before starting Brick Math, talk with your child about using bricks as a learning tool rather than a toy. Give your child a little time to play with the bricks first, and then it can be "time for Brick Math."
- The Brick Math Brick Set works for all 13 subjects. Once you have the bricks, you only need the Teacher and Student Edition books for each math subject. On average, students learn two of the math subjects in a school year.
- Read through each lesson first before working with your child.
- You can start Brick Math at any of the 13 math subjects — wherever your child is in the math curriculum.
- To clean bricks, put them in a hosiery bag and wash on the top rack of the dishwasher. Let the bricks air dry.
